Get Involved

  • Fascinating Speakers*:
    We can arrange for a speaker to come to your institution to inspire and enlighten participants on issues relating to disability and how your community can do its part to foster Inclusion. These speakers include leading professionals as well as to parents or siblings of individuals with disabilities that have compelling messages.

  • Renowned Scholar in Residence:
    We can arrange for a guest speaker, who is uniquely qualified to educate and inspire regarding disabilities, to stay in your community over Shabbat and share insights and the role of inclusion in the Jewish community.

  • Cutting- Edge Educational Programs*:
    These programs include: sensitivity trainings, workshops on issues relating to disability and programs on how to create an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.

  • An Inclusive Shabbat:
    YACHAD has wonderful Shabbatonim that include individuals with disabilities sharing a Shabbat experience with community and/ or a local school. (Subject to availability)

  • Dynamic Sermonic Material:
    We can provide relevant material from Judaic and secular sources for thematic sermons.

  • Story of the Week*:
    We can provide inspirational stories of individuals and families with disabilities to your constituents. Each week they can be handed out in the synagogue or schools.

  • Pamphlets and Handouts:
    We can provide literature that can be put out on tables at your institution. These materials would include: resources for individuals with disabilities, fact sheets about disabilities and information about programs in your community that can assist those with disabilities.

  • Educational Material*:
    We can provide Divrei Torah to handout in schools or synagogues that tie in themes of disability in Judaism. Stories with questions that will elicit critical thinking can also be provided to help bring disability awareness to children though informative, fun and creative activities.

  • Special Events:
    In the spirit of NAIM we will be bringing and creating many special events and fun activities that will take place during the month of February. These events include: Resource Fairs, Fundraisers, Recreational Sunday Activities and Much More. * These programs can be designed specifically for children of different ages.
All speaking engagements arrangements must be made by January 12th.
