Day Habilitation “Without Walls”
Day Habilitation "Without Walls" provides the additional time and targeted training which can help each individual to reach their own unique goals with regard to living and working more independently.The program includes:
- Social Skills development
- Life skills training
- Individual and Group counseling
- Pre-vocational training
- Job placements
- Job coaching provided by highly skilled and caring staff
- Inclusive activities with community members and organizations
- Jewish cultural experiences
- Meaningful recreational activities
Day Habilitation "Without Walls" meets daily, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00pm. The program provides transportation and travel training, as well as fitness activities. Committed to meeting the individual needs and desires of participants and their families, the Day Habilitation "Without Walls" program promotes self-esteem, self-determination and choice through activities which offer skill development, independence, and community inclusion.
The goal of the Day Habilitation "Without Walls" program is to help each person be the most they can be; to live and function as independently as possible within the community. Over time, participants move from home to more independent living, and access competitive jobs in the workplace, becoming proud, contributing members of society.
